Discovery NotesThis phage was isolated from soil taken from between two cracks of a walkway at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. The soil was partially dirt and partially sand. The soil sample was taken from the surface of the soil and was somewhat damp due to rain the previous day. The area the sample was taken from is in the open and receives lots of sunlight.
Naming NotesMy nickname is Hay because my name is Haley. My phage has a distinct halo, so I combined the two to make "Haylo."
