Discovery NotesThe soil sample that was obtained was very dark in color, appearing black and saturated. The soil was collected approximately 5 centimeters below the surface. The texture of the soil seemed to be grainy, but not resembling sand. The composition was closely packed together, but this is believed to be from the moisture and saturation of the soil.
