Discovery NotesThe phage was collected from soil 2.5 cm beneath surface. The surrounding temperature was 23.9 degrees Celsius. It was found in the mud that shifts from the grassy section of the courtyard onto the sidewalk fairly regularly; the mud was in the grassy section when the sample was taken. The ground was slightly wet with some grass, rocks, and plant roots interspersed in the soil.
Naming NotesJudith is the slayer of the Assyrian general Holofernes and as such has been depicted numerous times throughout art history.

Plaque NotesThere are slightly differing morphologies in which the phage manifests (one larger than the other by ~0.1 millimeters), but this can be caused by differing concentrations on different plates or may be a characteristic of the phage. The average size of the diameter of the phage is 2 millimeters.
