Discovery NotesTaken from soil one inch below surface approx 25°C, in an area of mostly shaded grass at the south end of Muir Field. Healthy grass is surrounding it, but large patch of dirt has no big stands of grass growing in it, just multiple tiny wasps of baby grass. Sample from slanted surface that faces South.
Growth NotesTiter was increased due to UV exposure. 10 plates were exposed to short-wave UV radiation for two minutes each and then 8mL of phage buffer was immediately added to each plate. Plates were stored at 4°C for 22 hours before removing and filtering lysate.
