Discovery NotesIt was found in a soy bean field in Frederic, Wisconsin. The soil was moist, dark, loose and sandy. Found ~90 feet away from the site that the phage Finch was discovered. It was also discovered along with the phage Sommer. The soil depth was 38.1 mm deep. It was collected on April 8, 2017. It was 65 degrees Fahrenheit, windy, slightly hazy, and sunny.
Naming NotesI named my phage Kevers after my cousin who died in the spring of 2017, right after I discovered the phage. Kevers was his nickname and I wanted to name the phage after him.
