Discovery NotesI got phage in my second sample. I got my dirt sample from my backyard near a the lake. I didn't have a shovel to dig a hole in the ground so I used a plastic spoon and I dug until the hole seemed deep enough, my sample came out moist.
Naming NotesI named my phage Knic2 because it represents my identity. I go by nicknames such as Kate, Katie, etc. So I used K to represent the many nicknames I go by. Nic stands for Nicole which is my middle name. And the number 2 is for me being the second child in my family and being born in the year 2002.
