Discovery NotesThe sample was taken from a backyard garden at the roots of dead petunia flowers. The soil sample was taken on September 5, 2017 at 0835 hours. It was a sunny day with 14% humidity with precipitation. The address of the sample is 7232 ELite Ct. Las Vegas, NV 89129.
Naming NotesWhen isolating the phage, we had to pick an isolated colony that was growing on a sea of bacteria. There is also a comedy group called "Lonely Isand" and I am pretty sure my institution would have frowned upon us naming our phage after any one of their songs.
