Discovery NotesDiscovered in an urban area near the Fulmer building located on the Washington State University Pullman campus. The soil was very moist and mossy. The sample was collected near a busy sidewalk, but in an area that avoided foot traffic. It was surrounded by shrubs and shaded by small trees. The depth was roughly 2 inches and the temperature at the time was 57ºF. This phage was discovered in mass quantity.
Naming Notes"Lunanueva" is Spanish for "new moon." Name chosen by my partner, Carlos Amado.
