Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected at The Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, TX.

Based on the results of Gel Electrophoresis, the bands from both Cluster 2 and Cluster 3 indicated that the cluster of the phage was AV and/or AK.
Naming NotesThe phage was named after my nickname Lyssie that my lab parter gave me. The name also reminds me of the word lyse, similar to when phages lyse the bacterial host.
