Discovery NotesI found the soil from which I isolated my phage outside the window of my dorm room. It was a sunny day outside. The soil was rocky, so I was unable to dig down deep. However, I collected enough top dirt to fill a small baggie. The dirt was light brown and very dry.
Naming NotesI wanted to use the first letter of my name. I also have an obsession with Christmas. So, I wanted to use Kalikimata or Mele Kalikimata. However, those were too long or already taken. So, I morphed them together and made my own form of the word, a new name, for my phage!
