Discovery NotesThe day of collection was warm, humid, and sunny. The soil sample with the phage was collected at 9:07 AM. The soil site was at the base of a large tree among fallen leaves. Moist, rich brown soil.
Naming NotesI named the phage Mirkwood because I am a huge fan of Middle Earth. Furthermore, phage emerging from a lysed host look like a creepy forest and Mirkwood is a very creepy forest!
