Discovery NotesMrFreeze was found in topsoil, blackish brown in color, with bits of grass and vegetation within.
Naming NotesDue to student error, a lysate of MrFreeze was placed in the freezer, a temp of -20 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, although we prayed for his survival, MrFreeze phage completely died in that lysate sample. In an ironic moment of inspiration, our team decided to name the phage MrFreeze to point out the phage's inability to survive in extremely cold environments.
