Discovery NotesSample was collected from a hole dug about 15 cm deep near the roots of a bush by the back entrance of South Residence Hall. The weather was humid, cloudy, and raining slightly. Time collected was 12:15pm at the beginning of a thunderstorm.
Naming NotesThe name Notus is derived from the name of the Greek god of the south wind. We chose this name because our soil sample was collected by South Hall on the LeTourneau University campus.
