Discovery NotesAt 5:58pm in Denton, near Apogee Stadium, the soil sample was collected. It was 96 degrees with extreme heat and some humidity. There was no wind. I found a spot that was in the shade of a tree and the soil was a rich, soft texture. It was not dry or humid and has a nice dark brown color. I dug in a spot where there was little grass and filled up 1/4 of the Ziplock bag.
Naming NotesI was born in Dallas and lived in Oak Cliff until I was around 3 years old. I then spent the rest of my life at Cedar Hill, which is still Dallas County. I decided to combine both of these city names, Oak from Oak Cliff and Hill from Cedar Hill.
