Discovery NotesWe obtained a soil sample from a mulched landscape outside of Muenzinger auditorium at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Due to the temperature being so low we had to dig to break the topsoil in order to reach viable soil for isolation.
Naming NotesOur original name for our bacteriophage was Jackson, but it was already taken. We changed the name to Odeski after Serena's Irish Setter whos name was Odeski.

Plaque NotesOdeski presented a temperate phage morphology with a turbid halo appearance to the plaques. The plaque size ranged from 1/8th of a centimeter to 1 centimeter. We hypothesized that Odeski was apart of the k cluster with a subcluster of K5.
