Discovery NotesA subsurface soil sample, 0.5 to 1 cm in depth, was obtained from under an Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm) growing in the open. The tree was located in an open courtyard, enclosed by four buildings, with two other trees in the close proximity. Approximate soil temperature at the time of sample collection was 32°C.
