Discovery NotesThe sample was collected from a patch of dirt underneath a bush that was partly against the wall of a building, in a darker more shadowy location. The sample was collected in January so there was no sunlight but there was snow on the ground and some of the snow had to be pushed away to reach the soil. The soil was pretty hard and partially frozen, so the soil sample was scooped from a few layers beneath the frozen top patch of the soil.
Naming NotesMy lab partner and I are both from the pacific northwest, so we decided to name our phage after where we live.
