Naming NotesPatroclus is the name of Achilles's lover in Homer's the Iliad. I chose to name my phage after him for a plethora of reasons, but the main reason being that while Patroclus possessed no supernatural, god-given powers, he bravely fought the Trojans in Achilles's place. His bravery and sacrifice allowed the Greeks to win the Trojan war. My phage has fought just as bravely to keep in the running, so I thought it fitting to name it after him. Plus, I just really love the Song of Achilles.
