Lysogeny NotesInconsistent lysogeny. Phaint was believed to be in the lysogenic cycle due to the turbid nature of the clearings, however, during two separate experiments, the plaques became far more turbid and of a pinprick morphology. Following these results, we concluded that Phaint may be a non- aggressive lytic phage.
Annotating InstitutionUnknown or unassigned
Annotation StatusNot sequenced
Plaque NotesInconsistent morphology. Two sizes of turbid plaques were consistently present following multiple rounds of serial dilution, believed to be due to the nature of the phage. Morphology at conclusion of experiments was pinprick, turbid plaques with consistent size.
