The soil was damp, after a fresh rainfall, had a mixture of varying types of soil of different textures and colors- varying from hard and a light brown color to a soft texture and a dark brown color. Most of the collected soil consisted of the latter description.
Naming NotesThe phage name comes from how the colonies look. The colonies of this phage cluster together to look similar to a rose-like flowers, or Flora. The F in Flora was replaced by a "Ph" for phages- and thus, was called Phlora.
