| Discovery Notes | Collected on February 11, 2021 at 1:12 PM at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. The sample was collected under the Lambda Chi Alpha bench that is located between the Science Center and the gazebo. The soil was moist and soft and was collected at a depth of 15 cm. At the time of collection, it was cold and cloudy with an ambient temperature of -1 °C and 72 % humidity. High titer lysate was 3.80 x 10 ^ 9 pfu/mL. DNA concentration is 979.9 ng/µL. The capsid length is 83.33 nm and the tail length is also 83.33 nm. Through PCR test, correct size products were produced by the C1 cluster primer, around 401 base pairs, noting that Phrat could be part of the C1 cluster. This however cannot be confirmed until sequencing. |
