Discovery NotesFound in Providence View Neighborhood Park in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The soil was near a pond and next to a reed swamp.
Naming NotesWhen trying to isolate this phage, I encountered many difficulties. I often had to redo purification rounds and Lysates in order for the phage to appear on the plate. Because of this, I referred to my phage as "fussy". A classmate and I used to joke and put the prefix "ph-" in front of everything phage related. Therefore, phussie.
