Discovery NotesThe sample site was located off of a trail walking down from the Central Point in Cameron Park. A small gap in the trees lining the trail makes the Brazos apparent and the sample was taken from the very edge of the shoreline in that location. All the soil in the location is moist and covered in decaying leaves from the surrounding trees. The soil has a clay-like consistency and had a thin film of algae covering the top, turning the surface layer of the soil slightly green.
Naming NotesI have two beautiful nieces, one named Lilly and the other named Emma Rose. I combined their names to arrive at the name of my phage: RoseLilly.
