Discovery NotesThe soil sample the phage was isolated from was from off a sidewalk near Florence Schneider Hall. The soil was rich, dry, and the spot the sample came from was surrounded by small trees and bushes.
Naming NotesI named my phage after the famous physicist, Erwin Schrodinger, because of his thought experiment "Schrodinger's Cat", in which he mentions the hypothetical flexibility of life and death and in between. I like using this to parallel to my bacteriophage because of the discussions about the status of viruses in terms of being alive or not.
