Discovery NotesThe location of the sampled soil is around the top area of Peterson Gym, and the specific coordinates are (40.445330 N, 79.69 W). At the time of extraction (9:52 am, 9/5/2018), it was partly cloudy, and the temperature was 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The soil itself was located at the roots of a tree. This soil was very solid and dry, making it hard to extract it from the ground. Grass and small trees were also located around the site of extraction. The soil was transported for half an hour until it was finally stored in a room temperature drawer.
Naming NotesNamed after Sirocco the Kakapo.
