| Discovery Notes | Collected at 2:29 pm Taken from the suburban lawn in front of my house, no foliage in proximity to sample location besides Kentucky Bluegrass that is grown heathily Soil was dry, and became loose once separated from the grass's roots Sample depth = 22mm Air temperature = 10.556 degrees C Slightly cloudy outside, with a slight breeze Sample location had fertilizer sprayed last spring and pesticides around 3 weeks ago. Location is also the site of a household dog's consistent urination, though its presence in the sample is unknown |
| Naming Notes | The name originates from a faction from the fictional universe of Warhammer Fantasy. The Skaven is a species of evil humanoid rats that specialize in overwhelming numbers, much like a virus will literally copy itself until a cell bursts from the amount of matter inside of it, so we named our phage after them for their similar tactics. |
