| Discovery Notes | Soil was dry and had small pebbles and sticks. It was mostly a dirt/chalky dirt consistency and barely had any moisture. The sample was collected at a dog park in a 3 foot wide dirt patch near a small baby tree. The dog park is near a busy street and there were lots of people and dogs around the park. 10 mM MgCl2 added during isolation.
