Discovery NotesSuburban area. Small creek about 0.5 meters away, larger creek about 8 meters away, area completely surrounded by trees. No exposure to foot traffic. Depth 1 cm. 20°C

Two plaque morphologies were isolated.
A- fairly clear plaques ranging in size from pinprick to about 2mm in diameter. This phage was used for the duration of this experiment and was eventually given the designator 2008HOPEvargIJS
B- cloudy plaques of diameters between 2mm and 3mm. This phage was not pursued during this experiment.
