Discovery NotesThe soil sample was found on September 21, 2022, at approximately 6:34 pm. The weather conditions were a bit windy with a temperature of 72°F (22°C). The location of the sample was behind a Drexel university dormitory (Bentley hall), the dirt soil was collected near trees (though the specific area mainly was dirt), and fallen leaves. The sample was dug 1-2 inches.
Naming NotesWe first came up with the name Wormaphillic, however, it did not meet naming requirements. We then came up with the name Wormanic, keeping the "worm" portion. The reason for our assistance of having a worm in our phage name is that when the dirt soil sample was collected in the test tube was a worm. Thus this is our way of paying tribute to the worm.
