Discovery NotesFound on Virginia Tech campus, pathway leading from Cochrane hall to West Campus Drive, between Harper Hall and New Hall West. Used top layer of heterogenous soil, which had some small rocks and no grass.

There were many residential student buildings nearby, and the area gets high morning and afternoon foot traffic. It was next to a bench and old banana. There is a dining hall close by. A laundry air vent blows out over soil. There were 2 trees nearby, and the soil was not sloped.
Naming Notes"Zoinks" is an expression of shock and surprise derived from popular culture. This phage was found next to a rotting banana, a development worthy of shock and surprise.
