Discovery NotesphiRKBJ001 was isolated from a saltwater marsh near Kinlock Beach, Stratford, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The extracted sample was black sludge and was collected at a depth of 6 inches with a salinity level of 24.5 ppt.
Naming NotesphiRKBJ 001 is from the combination of my supervisor's and my initials and is the first phage that we isolated and characterized.
