Discovery Notes The soil sample that was tested was from an enrichment sample found on September 13, 2013 at 175 W 18th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201, (40.001674, -83.013416) at 4:20 p.m. The soil was found in 68ºF weather and was fairly moist when collected from the surface of the soil. The sample was found in a high traffic area with construction outside the school library. The soil was mud-like and had a chunky texture.
Naming NotesThe word Anathema means "accursed to destruction." I chose this name because phages destroy bacteria. Anathema is also the name of one of my favorite songs.
