Discovery NotesThe soil was collected from the Tufts University Latin Way community garden. The soil was dark, fine, sandy and dense.
Naming NotesWhen I saw the small morphology of my plaques, I wanted a fun name which would represent the tiny but mighty nature of my phage. I named my phage after the cartoon character Asterix, from the sentimental comic Asterix and Obelix.
