Discovery NotesThis soil was found August 9th after wet conditions. It was collected from the side of the sidewalk, near fungus. Weather conditions were wet and around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. It was adopted from Dr. Pollenz.
Naming NotesThe sample was categorized as St. Augustine 1, or SA1 when it was “adopted.” During the isolation process, it was nicknamed Baby Sal. Hence, the name BabySal.
