Discovery NotesCollected from tarp-covered piles of soil near Merrill College at UCSC. The soil was collected from about 2 inches from the surface and was slightly moist but still crumbly.
Naming NotesMy phage displayed active growth cycles that showed both resourcefulness and resilience. These characteristics, along with my love for Jane Fonda, led me to name my phage Barbarella.
