Discovery NotesWe found Belinda nearly on the surface of a sunny and low traffic area directly underneath a flowerbed of primarily mud and clay. On the day of her collection, 26 January 2023, ambient temperature was around 5 degrees Celsius. Very few roots were collected in original sample, which was taken roughly 9 meters from the front entrance of Hugel Science Center.
Naming NotesDuring her dilutions and processing, Belinda gave us quite the attitude, only proliferating after we multiplied her original up-target value by 30 in order to make an actual webbed plate. Because of this, we thought that a name with some sass would be most fitting for our feisty phage.
