Discovery NotesThe soil was "semi-moist" and collected from a flower bed outside of an apartment building called Latitude. It was a shallow depth of less than 3 inches. The ambient temperature was 66 degrees fahrenheit.
Naming NotesHere at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, red is our school color. Go big red is a cheer that we do at sporting events, so, being as this phage was found here in Lincoln by two UNL students, we decided to name it BigRed after this.
