Discovery NotesThe soil was dark brownish black and moist from the surface. The surface soil was full of organic matter, mostly green moss. The soil was collected in a radius of about 2 inches and a depth of about 2 cm. The soil was located near a running rusted pipe. Also contained within the sample was bits of twigs and roots.
Naming NotesThe name of the phage is an anagram of my first name. It also reflects the ability of phages to "detect" the conditions of their surroundings to determine when to lyse the host, almost as if they have a brain.
