Discovery NotesI found this phage while walking towards the back of campus next to the on-campus local coffee shop, "The Hillside Grind." My soil was very clumpy, red, and was very dry. My lab partner and I made sure to get our phage after a bit of a drought in our area. I dug about an inch to two inches deep in the soil.
Naming NotesI was debating naming my phage after myself, but it felt more fitting to name my phage after where I discovered it. I chose "Capulus" because it means "coffee" in Latin. I chose coffee because I found my phage right next to our local coffee shop.
