Discovery NotesI got my soil from a park near my house called 4 Seasons located in Lombard, IL. I chose this location because the park was near a lake so I thought maybe it would have more different characterizations and phages. I used gloves to get my sample and I got about 5 grams of soil. The soil was very wet since it had been raining the day off and it was difficult to dig it but it was also pretty soft when I collected it, I had laid it outside on my patio for it to dry overnight, and in the morning it had tried and turned into clumps of soil.
Naming NotesI named it Epervaiz because I wanted my Phage to represent me since I discovered it, therefore I used my first initial and last name.

Plaque Notesmy phage was lytic it was clear in the middle with clear edges, and the diameter of my plaque was 2mm and the radius was 1mm. The temperature it grew the best was at 22C. I found that my phage amplifies better at lower than higher temperatures.
