Discovery NotesWe found Eternity in a flower bed off of Bulldog Alley on Gonzaga University campus towards Hughes Hall. The soil sample was surrounded by flowers. The quality of the soil was very fine and moist with some fertilizer particles.
Naming NotesWe wanted to give our phage a very unique and prestigious name as we worked very hard on isolating it and hope it can live on forever. We hope Eternity (having an American origin) will leave an imprint on Gonzaga University and the rest of the phage discovery world.
