Discovery NotesThe soil was collected from University of the Sciences. More specifically, behind one of the buildings of this University called McNeil Science and Technology Center. On the side of this building, there are many bushes and the soil was collected from there.
Naming NotesThe name of this phage was a combination of two names. Fariha (which is my name) and Arianna (my partner's name). When put together, the name Faria was created. We decided to use this name for our phage.

Plaque NotesThis phage came from our soil sample. Through a spot test, we confirmed that our soil sample did indeed have phages present. In order to isolate our phage population, we did several serial dilutions. This is where we got our phage.
