Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered from moderate soil during the fall climate in New Jersey. It was found in suburban soil near different berry bushes, trees, and fallen leaves in a shaded and cool area. There is a diversity of flora and fauna in the location of the soil, some of which has been cultivated by the residents of the property from which the soil came from.
Naming NotesThis phage was named 'GroovyDhruvy' as it was found near the residence of Dhruv (me), who discovered the phage. Dancing while waiting for agar plates to set and incubate was a fun way to spend time with friends (and the professor) in the lab. This phage was fun to work with, like the person who discovered it! ;)
