Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected at a depth of 14cm beneath the surface at 23.3℃ ambient temperature. The sample was taken from Douglas Park in Santa Monica, CA. It was a sunny day and the soil was fairly dry with some dead plant matter found throughout. There was a walking path close by, as well as a pond with ducks and other wildlife.

Enriched isolation was performed using hosts Arthrobacter globiformis, Arthrobacter atrocyaneous, Arthrobacter sulfureus , and Arthrobacter sp. Culture was incubated with shaking for 48 hours at 30ºC.
