Discovery NotesThe sample was collected on a warm summer afternoon from a dirt patch, which was located around a tree on a grassy lawn. The soil was dry with little organic matter, and only a few pieces of dead grass were present.
Naming NotesThe "tree" in Katreena was inspired by the tree site that the phage was isolated from. The name Katrina contains the same sound as tree, therefore we were able to substitute the word into the name.
