Discovery NotesI chose to pick out the soil sample in Lombard iL
because the texture was very moist and it looked like
fresh soil. I had soil in a pot from a plant that was
located outside of the house but we brought inside
because of the cold. The physical description of the soil
sample was chocolate brown. I used a clean scooper
and transferred the soil into a ziplock bag to avoid any
contamination.
Naming NotesThe reason I chose this phage was because my stuffed
animal as a kid was Lylo.

Plaque NotesThe plaque diameter was 0.1 mm (millimeter). The
plaque radius was 0.05 mm (millimeter). My plaque was
fairly small and I needed about 8100 plaques to create a
webbed plate. The plaques are circular with a bit fuzzy
edges and some plaques (around 10) have clear edges.
Since most of the Lylo25 phages are a bit difficult to
fully identify and is a bit fuzzy and not fully clear, it is a
lysogenic phage.
