Discovery NotesPhage MailPark was isolated from soil, collected on 04/05/22 by Max Orr, at a depth of about 3 centimeters from soil taken at a rural, coastal Malibu park (Las Flores Creek Park)- in the canyon with lots of foot traffic due to nearby dirt pathway and near a busy cement road, lots of trees and a small creek further down the slope. This sample was very dry with small amounts of wood chips and rocks. Air temperature at the time of collection was 15.56˚C.

Wet lab characterization was performed by Team Coming of Phage (Max Orr, Kyla Grunden, Jinge Liu, Clara Cho).
