Discovery NotesSoil was collected from (32.949491°N, 96.70742°W) in Richardson, TX. The soil was collected at approximately 7:45pm, with a temperature of 98°F (36.67°C), and a humidity percentage of 38%. The location of the soil was in front of a house lawn, beside a young Magnolia tree. I first dug an approximately 1.5 inches below the surface, with a plastic spoon, as to receive more soil material rather than grass or roots. By carefully scooping up the soil sample, I placed the sample in a plastic bag. Once collecting a good amount of sample, about ¼ of the bag, I placed the spoon inside the bag and closed it. The soil was semi-moist when scooped up and perceived a dark brown color.
Naming NotesI named my phage Mianita because it is a 2-part name. "Mia" is my dog's name and "-nita" is a Spanish suffix that means small. Combined, the name means "small Mia", which I found appropriate and true.
