Discovery NotesPhage was found in moist soil, approximately 1.5 inches under the surface. Soil was mainly composed of decaying organic matter such as leaves. Sample site was completely shaded at all hours of the day and located nearly 20 feet away from the edge of a creek. 6 serial dilutions were performed to isolate the phage, followed by the creation of a ten plate lysate. DNA isolation was performed to determine DNA concentration which was 89.2 ng/uL.
Naming NotesName originated from a character on a classic television show.
