Discovery NotesWe found this phage under a tree in the front yard of one of the partner's in our group for the project. The soil was wetter than usual because it had rained the night before but it was not muddy by any means. The soil was full of organic matter so we had to remove this from the soil. The soil was collected about 2 inches below the surface.
Naming Notesname: Mopey224
We chose the name because it incorporated both partners (Morgan and Peyton) and when we calculated our titer, we counted 224 plaques which indicates the 224 at the end.
